Division 2
DivGaming
Privacy
What this site collects, what it does not, and how to have it removed.
Last updated 24 October 2026.
The short version
You can use almost all of DivGaming without an account, and without giving us anything. If you never sign in, we hold no personal information about you at all. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and we do not track you across other sites.
If you sign in with Discord
Signing in is optional. It exists so your saved videos follow you between devices and so contributions can be credited to you.
We ask Discord for the identify scope and nothing else. That gives us:
- your Discord user ID
- your username and display name
- your avatar image
We do not receive your email address, your Discord messages, the servers you are in, or your friends list. We could not read them if we wanted to — the permission was never requested.
Alongside that we store when your account was created here and when you were last seen, so inactive accounts can be cleaned up.
What else is stored
- Saved videos. Signed out, these live in your own browser and never reach us. Signed in, they are stored against your account so they follow you between devices.
- Vendor alerts. The gear, weapons and mods you ask us to watch for, whether you want a Discord DM about them, and a record of each weekly alert we sent you, so nobody is messaged twice for the same reset. Alerts are sent by the DivGaming bot only after you add something to the list, and the switch on the Vendor Reset page turns them off.
- Anything you submit. Build reconstructions, creator listings and tool suggestions are stored so they can be reviewed and published, with your Discord name shown as the contributor.
- Review history. When a moderator approves, edits or rejects a submission, that decision is recorded so it can be accounted for later.
Cookies
Two, both strictly functional:
dg_session— keeps you signed in. Set only after you sign in.dg_oauth_state— a short-lived security value during sign-in that stops someone else completing it on your behalf.
There are no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies. Your saved videos while signed out are kept in your browser's local storage, which is not a cookie and is never sent to us.
Analytics
Page views are counted with GoatCounter, which sets no cookies, records no personal data and does not follow anyone between sites. It tells us that a page was viewed, not who viewed it.
Other services involved
- Discord — sign-in, and the community server. Their privacy policy governs your Discord account.
- Cloudflare — hosting, and the bot check on submission forms.
- YouTube — video thumbnails and embedded players. Playing an embedded video is a visit to YouTube, and Google may set its own cookies at that point under its own policy. Nothing is sent to YouTube until you press play.
- Google Fonts — typefaces.
Getting your data, or getting rid of it
Email or ask in the DivGaming Discord, and we will act on it. You can request a copy of everything held against your account, or ask for the account to be deleted.
Deleting removes your account record, your saved videos and your vendor watchlist. Contributions already published may remain on the site, because other people's pages link to them, but we will remove your name from them on request.
DivGaming is run by one person as a community project. Requests are handled personally and usually quickly, but there is no support desk behind them.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and Discord's own terms require users to be 13 or older.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. It describes how the site actually works, so it is updated when the code is.
